XI. Conference of Technical Museums, Esztergom, Hungary 28.11.2008

3D virtual tour technology was presented at the annual conference of Technical Museums in Esztergom organized by Duna Museum this year. Participants of the meeting visited a 16th century turkish mosque (the northern medieval mosque still existing in Hungary) in downtown Esztergom which has extensively been renovated in 2007.

Besides the mosque, ruins of a complicated water system which led fresh water to the citadel are still clearly visible. The mosque was used as a flat for centuries, its minaret was destroyed and now partially rebuilt. The turkish complex with the mosque turned into an exhibition centre along with a turkish bath and a coffee house will attract a large number of visitors.
